Bändikonseptin SM-kisat

Kuten kaikki tietävät, musiikissa ratkaisevat ideat ja puheet, eivät teot tai lopputulos saatikka tyyli taikka soundi!
Järjestämme H2Ö:ssä lajissaan toiset Bändikonseptin SM-kisat lauantaina 23.7. Ensimmäiset kisat pidettiin myös H2Ö:ssä vuonna 2015 ja suuren suosion vuoksi kilpailu järjestetään toistamiseen. Taas koetellaan Suomen parhaat musiikilliset ideat oikein alan ammattilaisten voimin!
– Haluatko olla se seuraava tyyppi, josta kukaan ei ole vielä kuullut mitään, mutta jonka c-kasetit menevät kuin kuumille kiville?
– Haaveiletko soittavasi syntikoita jossain mageessa bändissä jonkun inidielafkan suojissa ja pääseväsi joskus ehkä jopa Flowiin heiluttamaan pääsi päällä sojottavaa leijonaharjaa eli geelillä tuettua tukkaasi?!
– Janoaako sisälläsi huokaileva kuivakurkkuinen singer-songwriter päivittävänsä folkin 2100-luvulle?!
– Tekisikö mielesi perustaa kaikkien aikojen fuusiojazz- tai progebändi, mutta kaikki potentiaaliset soittajat ovat jo kuolleet ennen vuotta 2000?
– Olet saattanut toisinaan soittaa mielessäsi kaikkien aikojen kitarasoolon tai heviriffin mutta sopivaa pedaalia ei tahdo löytyä mistään?
– Haluatko räjäyttää musiikilliset raja-aidat kappaleiksi ja tehdä ainoastaan Musiikkia?
– Riittävätkö sormesi laskemaan kuinka monta bändiä on perustettu baarissa, eikä ensimmäisiäkään treenejä ole pidetty? Eli sinulla on idea, mutta toteutus on vaiheessa? Jos vastaat kyllä yhteenkään ylläolevaan kysymykseen, tämä kilpailu on juuri sinulle!
Voit tulla paikalle sooloartistina, duona tai bändinä, kertomaan suullisesti maailmalle minkälainen teidän juttunne olisi. Arvovaltainen tuomarimme kertoo suoralta kädeltä toimiiko juttu vai onko se täyttä paskaa, ja antaa pisteet. Paras konsepti voittaa! Osallistumisen ehtona on, että bändi on pelkkä idea, eikä se ole koskaan esiintynyt, treenannut saati äänittänyt demoja. Ja jotta homma ei menisi jaaritteluksi, konseptin tulisi mahtua A4 -arkille. Kilpailijalla on tasan yksi minuutti aikaa esitellä konseptinsa.
Itse kilpailuissa musiikillisia näytteitä ei hyväksytä, vaan kaikkinaiset laulun tapailut ja hyräilyt johtavat automaattisesti hylkäämiseen. Ennakkoilmoittautuminen dxxxadee@gmail.com tai paikan päällä ennen kisoja.

As we all know, in the music business ideas and talking are crucial, actions or results – not so much – not even mentioning sound!
H2Ö is organizing the second Finnish Band concept championship on Saturday 23rd July. The first contest was held at H2Ö 2015, and since it was so popular we’re holding a second edition. Once more Finland’s best musical ideas will be tested by professionals!
–Do you want to be the next guy, who nobody’s heard of yet, but whose c-cassettes sell like hot cakes?
– Do you dream of playing synthesizers in some cool band at some indei label and maybe even making it to Flow by shaking the lion’s mane on your head, that is your gel-filled hair?!
– Is there a dry-throated singer-songwriter deep inside of you, dying to take folk music to the 22nd century?!
– Do you feel like starting the best fusion jazz / progressive band of all time, but all the potential musicians left the building already before the year 2000?
– You might have played the best guitar solo or heavy riff *ever* in you mind, but you simply can’t find a suitable pedal?
– Do you want to blow up every musical boundary to pieces and just make Music?
– Are there fingers enough to count how many bands have been founded at the bar, and not even the first rehearsals have happened yet? So you have an idea, but the execution is left hanging? If you answered yes to any of these questions above, this contest is made for you!
You can come as a solo artist, duo or a band, to tell the world what your concept would be like. Our prestigious jury will instantly tell you if it works or if it stinks, and hand out points. The best concept wins! There is one condition to enter: the band is only an idea, has never performed, rehearsed or recorded demos. In order to keep it short, the concept can’t be longer than an A4 sheet. Contestants have one minute to present their concept.
No samples are allowed in the competition, anything songlike or humming leads automatically to disqualification. Apply to dxxxadee@gmail.com or on the site before the contest.
